Hand surgery is the treatment of acquired and congenital diseases of the hand. Commonly treated conditions include:
- Syndactyly (webbed digits)

- Nerve compressions (carpal tunnel)
- Endoscopic carpal tunnel release
- Dupuytren’s disease
- Ganglions
- Skin cancers
- Arthritis
Dr. Loretta Coady-Fariborzian, a surgeon in the UF division of plastic and reconstructive surgery, is fellowship trained in surgery of the hand.
Certified hand therapists in the occupational therapy department work with the hand surgeons to achieve optimal outcomes.
